The World Gourmet Summit (WGS), in collaboration with USA Cheese Guild®, is proud to present a special USA Cheese Dining Experience from August to September.
Shabestan Finest Persian Cuisine, MOONBOW, The Spot, and Hua Ting Restaurant were specially chosen to present a selection of four distinct fusions with Cheeses from the USA to keep your epicurean cravings at bay. Diners are in for unique and exciting gastronomic experiences as the culinary influences showcase the versatility of USA Cheeses through a repertoire of special menus during a host of curated brunches and dinners.
I am happy to be invited to Shabestan Finest Persian Cuisine to experience the world of cheese infused into Persian Cuisines. There was wine pairing for each dish and creating a delectable experience for all diners. Their menu included:
1. Grilled Eggplant with U.S. Mozzarella Cheese Salsa Bruschetta
This dish was flavorful and it included quite a few strong spices with beautiful plating. The cheese added another layer of flavor that allows the dish to shine. Do try with the tomato sauce and the green cream as well for a special experience.
Ixsir Grande Réserve White Wine: Super smooth and sweet wine that I will recommend for ladies.
2. Cheese Appetizer Platter with Cranberry U.S. Sharp Cheddar Cheese Skewer, U.S. Cream Cheese Tarts and U.S. Oaxaca Cheese Cranberry Tarts
My personal favourite for this dish is the cranberry cheese tart, super flavorful and colourful, not too strong for those who are not good with cheese. The ladies who are good with cheese would love the cheddar cheese skewer. The beetroot cheese cream is a healthy way of having cheese on a fruit. For the ladies who don’t like beetroot, they will still enjoy it. For the salsa, it is a refreshing dish that helps to open your appetite
Ropiteau Freres Chablis Wine: It is also a sweet white wine that pairs well with the appetizers while helping to clear our palate for the next dish.
3. Spinach U.S. Cream Cheese Pie
The puff is crispy and flaky, and the cheese with spinach is flavorful and enjoyable, not too heavy and not too salty, making it really easy to consume and savour.
TOI TOI MARLBOROUGH PINOT GRIS Wine: It was one of the sweetest wines that I have tried, which made it my favourite!
4. Lamb Meatballs Stuffed with U.S. Sharp Cheddar Cheese, Dressed with Sundried Tomato Sauce Served with Basmati Rice
Meatball is juicy and soft, disappears into my mouth the moment it enters. The tomato sauce is sweet and the cheese brings up the level of flavor in the meatball.
Auswan Creek Shiraz Golden Bull Wine: Red wine that has helped me to clear the palate.
5. U.S. Mozzarella Cheese Kunafe with Hot Fresh Milk
The dish is covered with coconut flakes making it sweet with a tinge of cheese which will only appear when you start chewing on the dessert which is very interesting and fun to enjoy.
Graf Johann IV Riesling Trocken Wine: White wine which is also sweet, making it a good for pairing for desserts

Recipient of World Gourmet Awards Hall Of Fame 2021, Hua Ting Restaurant is a stalwart for Cantonese cuisine since 1992.
